Southside House
Southside House, standing opposite the Crooked Billet on the south side of Wimbledon Common, is a 17th century amalgamation of two former houses – Belvedere House (not to be confused with a later house of that name built by Sir Theodore Jansesen in 1720 close to St Mary’s Church) and Holme Lodge, the latter a Tudor farmhouse once owned by Adam Hogg, a colonel in the East India Company’s army. |
